Guelph NDP Youth

The NDP Youth is a club open to all youth in Guelph (anyone under the age of 25) and all faculty and students of the University of Guelph. We are a CSA accredited club, and hold weekly meetings open to all general members of the club, on the University of Guelph campus. We have an executive of 12 members (see list).

We meet weekly, every Monday at 5:30PM in the University Centre at the University of Guelph. The rooms do change weekly, so please check Guelph NDP Youth Meeting Rooms weekly!

The club has many roles in the Guelph community, including assisting the Guelph NDP Riding Association with election preparedness and on-campus campaigns during elections, educating youth and students on issues political issues, holding speaking events for students to meet and speak with leaders in the NDP community, and sending youth representatives to NDP federal and provincial conventions.

We hope to give youth and student activist groups the information they need to vote for leaders in Guelph that will bring their concerns on climate change, women's issues, poverty, human rights, tuition fees, health care and much more to the elected governments. We also hope to form coalitions with different activist groups on campus, to bring greater youth representation to government, and increase youth voter turnout.

If your student group would like someone from to club to attend an event, or speak about the club, or if you would like Tom King (Guelph Federal NDP Candidate) to attend or speak at an event about the NDP, please contact us.

If you have any questions about the club, or you would like information on the next meeting, please contact us. Information on upcoming meetings and events will also be posted on the NDP Calender.
