The Guelph New Democratic Party Riding association represents a community of progressives in Guelph working to build a Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and World which puts people and the environment first. Through elections, advocacy, events, discussion, policy, and solidarity, we strive to renew Guelphites trust in politics, and take actions on important issues to Canadians.
The New Democratic Party Of Canada is a political party established in 1961, as a merger between the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation and the Canadian Labour Congress. The merger changed the face of progressive politics in Canada, and transformed Canadian priorities towards social equality, social justice, environmental respect, peace, and inclusiveness. Since then, with the NDP as a viable political force, Canada has witnessed major positive changes, including national public healthcare, seniors pensions, progressive labour laws, and environmental responsibility.
