Tom King is a celebrated Canadian author, broadcaster, and University of Guelph professor.

Tom is a Member of the Order of Canada, and in 2003 he presented his book The Truth About Stories as part of the Massey Lectures.

Tom's writing has helped to bring attention to important issues, and has reached out and engaged Canadians. Tom has a passion for the environment-- taking time to build and retrofit his own house to be energy efficient and environmentally sustainable. He has been outspoken on issues of social justice, and advocating for fairness in our society.

As a broadcaster, he created and starred in the CBC's hit show "The Dead Dog Cafe". As a celebrated writer, he has published numberous books including:

A resident of Guelph, Tom has lived worked and played in the community, through its lively downtown, farmer's market, active campus, and world class arts scene.
